TERROS LADDER Program

The TERROS LADDER (Life Affirming Dual Diagnosis Education & Recovery) program,

Serving Persons Who Are:

Having difficulty managing mental illness and substance abuse symptoms

In need of daily structure to help avoid a higher level of care

Interested in learning better ways to manage mental illness

In need of substance abuse treatment to achieve psychiatric stability

 

Life Affirming...focusing on client strengths

Dual Diagnosis...addressing the needs of persons with mental illness and substance abuse problems

Education...believing that knowledge is power and that people can manage their illness better if they can understand it

and Recovery...based on current research that gives hope for recovery from substance abuse and mental illness, the LADDER program acknowledges the potential of all persons to reach a state of recovery even within the limitations of symptoms

The TERROS LADDER program is a structured, supportive environment where the unique needs of persons with co-occurring disorders can be addressed in a caring and professional setting.

The purpose of the TERROS LADDER program is to empower clients to live a productive, satisfying life and to understand and achieve recovery form substance abuse and mental illness.

TERROS LADDER Program Features

Treatment goals are individualized and specific

Curriculum focuses on managing symptoms of mental illness and substance abuse

A light breakfast snack and lunch are provided

bullet

Transportation is provided within catchment area as needed

bullet

Family and community supports are included an welcome

Home visits and individual sessions are included as needed

 

Clinical Advantages of the TERROS LADDER Program

We treat relapse clinically as part of the illness

bullet

Sobriety is the long term goal

bullet

Substance abuse clients are not mainstreamed with other clients and treatment is modified to be more appropriate for clients with a SMI

bullet

Emphasis is on independence  and skill building

bullet

Treatment program for clients that are resistant to treatment and includes focus on stages of treatment including engagement and education, active treatment and maintenance and discharge planning

 

We have Two Locations to Better Serve You

Services are currently provided at three Valley sites, one in Mesa, one in central Phoenix and one in west Phoenix (Glendale).  Ideally suited for groups and community activities, our facilities feature private group rooms and a community room large enough to host recreational activities, client events and educational speakers.
