Sixth Annual Cesar Chavez Conference
TERROS hosted the Sixth annual Cesar Chavez Conference on March 26, 2010. The conference, “Overcoming Barriers of Health Disparities: Diversity, Civility and Acceptance in Behavioral Health” recognizes and pays tribute to human rights icon, the late Cesar E. Chavez.
Plenary speakers included Dr. Antonia Darder, distinguished Professor of Education and Latino/Latina Studies at the University of Illinois, Urbana-Champaign and Timothy P. Condon, Ph.D., Deputy Director of the National Institute on Drug Abuse, part of the National Institutes of Health.
Admission was free and included a continental breakfast and lunch. Participants earned 7 continuing education units (CEU) for attending the conference.
